About MassHort

Founded in 1829, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society is dedicated to encouraging the science and practice of horticulture and developing the public's enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of plants and the environment.

The Festival of Trees at Elm Bank has been created to help fund the continued maintenance of the many gardens that are open to the public at MassHort’s Elm Bank headquarters, and all proceeds from this event will be used for continued maintenance of the gardens.

The Festival of Trees at Elm Bank is also an event intended to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season.  In a time when Christmas decorations go up in stores before Halloween, we are attempting to create a place where the magic of the holiday season is paramount.  We invite you to bring your family and friends to experience the imagination that can be part of the holiday season.
